Fully functional and fully battle ready.The accessories of the sword are all authentic.It is made of 1095 high carbon steel,designed by our experienced swordsmith with perfect craftmanship of differential hardening(clay tempering)to creat a high-performance blade for real battle.The sword is really cost-effective,functional and will be your best choice to show to your friends or keep it as a collection.Also,it is very suitable for training or display for its special differential hardening and exquisite craftsmanship of forging process.

WAY OF SWORD MAKING:

1. <1>TANREN:FORGING <2>TSURIKOMI AND SUNOBE:FORMING THE BLANK The balde was mde of 1095 high carbon steel,it was Fully hand forged in a completely traditional manner.It has been smelted and pounded(hand forged) to decrease the remain impurities of the carbon steel and better distribute the carbon to form the blank.

2. <1>HIZUKURI:FULLY SHAPING THE BLADE <2>ARA-SHIAGE: ROUGH FINISHING <3>TSUCHIOKI:APPLYING CLAY TO THE BALDE <4>YAKI-IRE:HEAT TREATING The blade would be fully hand shaping,and then our swordsmiths has applied clay to the sword to control the rate at which the blades cools when quenced after grinding(rough finishing).Also,the clay ensures carbon does not simply escape during this process.What's more,our swordsmith went a step further: Applying different thicknesses of clay to the edge and spine(back) of the blade respectively(Differential hardening).After the clay process,heat treating the blade,then quickly oil and water quenching (tempering) to make the edge(coated with a thin layer)cool faster,while the spine(coated with a thick layer) cools slower.Thus,what began an unavoidable consequence of the process was,a beautiful real hamon was appeared on the balde,turn into a mark of creativity and an element of beauty.

The result of this process compounds the benefits of forging the sword with a sofer core.The edge of the blade becomes very hard and strong,able to retain an edge befitting the marvelous reputation of these exquisite weapons.The spines hardens,but does not become as hard,giving the spine a degree of springiness that immensely enhance the resilience of the weapon when swung in actural pratice.

3. <1>SHIAGE:FINISHING THE BLADE <2>HI AND HORIMONO:GROOVES AND ENGRAVINGS Hand shaping the balde after the second time polished (Finishing the blade),This balde was no Hi which is good for heavy cutting.Meanwhile,engraving services will be implemented in this step.(pls contact us through message if you have somehing engrave on the blade)

4. NAKAGO AND MEIKIRI:FILING AND SIGNING THE TANG This blade comes with a full length Tang which greatly enhances the strength of the sword while swung.The tang will be filed to match well with the handle,and it will be signed according to your requirements.(pls contact us through message if you want to sign the DATE or NAME on the Tang)

5. TOGI:SWORD POLISHING Fully hand polished by our experience swordsmith with more than 15 process hand sharpening work by the multiple grade abrasive stone in the most traditional Japanese craftmanship way.Making a mirror-like surface.It is also very sharp.The point of the blade is medium length.(Chu Kissaki)

• The sword is composed of a large array of fittings , tsuba, Ito&Sageo and Saya and ray skin,all of our swords are available to be customized.
• BO-HI (blood groove), blade without HI is stronger for cutting, blade with HI is lighter for practice.
• All blades are regular sharp,please contact us when you need a blunt or a razor sharp blade.(It cost extra 10usd for razor sharpening and takes more time to finish)
• A Wakizashi and a Tanto can be customized to mathch this katana.

ENGRAVING SERVICES

• Laser engraving cost $5,Etch engraving cost $20.
• Engravings on the blade toward the handle,adjacent to tsuba. Some other locations are also avaliable for gngraving.

• It takes 1-2 days more for laser engraving while 3-4 days more for etch engraving and Saya hand engravings.
