Ranger 2C 4MP camera scans your home using patrol mode.Once motion is detected,the camera will track it to keep it in the line of sight .When enabled ,the camera will begin to automatically record and follow the object in motion using the built-in pan and tilt feature.

●Step 1: Search "imou life" APP in Google Play or APP store to download and install the APP,if you have installed the APP, update it to the latest version. run the APP, register an account and sign up by email or with your phone number.

●Step 2: Connect the camera to power source with the power adapter, waiting for booting to be finished, and then the camera indicator light flashed green. Tap “+” on imou life APP and scan the QR code on camera,then follow the instructions on the screen for the next steps.

●Step 3: Connect to the 2.4GHz Wifi and enter your wifi password.

●Step 4: ! IMPORTANT ! Save camera's QR code and safety code to your smart phone.Safety code on camera label is the default password. We're sure you'll definitely use safety code in the future. When you have installed IP camera, it is not easy to check QR code and safety code.

●Step 5: Finish adding the camera to imou life APP, before installing IP camera, go to more details of IP camera to setting other personalized optionsin imou life APP.

A: Press and hold the device RESET button until the indicator turns red (it takes 10 seconds), then you can reset the device password.

Q: Device initialization (password setting) failed?

A: Keep the device in the same network with the phone, Keep the router connected to the Internet.

Q: How can I choose a best security camera lens?

A: The smaller lens focal length number is, the wider area you can see but in lesser details; the bigger the focal length, the further you can see, but with narrower viewing angle. Small focal length work best for the critical entrances, like the doorways, hallways, cash registers, etc. Big focal length work best for the parking lots, back yard, warehouses, construction sites, etc.

Q: Where is the video stored?

A:You can store video on the MicroSD card; or stored it on both cloud and the MicroSD card; The client manual recording is stored on the corresponding client.

Q: How is Imou Protect different from Cloud Storage?

A:Imou Protect is a comprehensive service that includes Cloud Storage. Imou Protect delivers a brand new security experience with additional benefits like AI Detection, downloading SD card recordings, sharing devices with more users, security report, and more.

Q: What is the difference between the AI Detection provided by Imou Protect and the detection feature that comes with the camera?

A:AI Detection included in the Imou Protect plan provides you the option to receive alerts only when a person, animal, vehicle and package are detected, even if your cameras don't have AI features. AI detection offers more detection types than the detection features come with the camera. It does not need to update the camera firmware and keeps getting better with the support of algorithms.

Q: Do all brands of cameras support Imou Protect?

A:Imou cameras support all benefits of Imou Protect. For Dahua cameras, only Cloud Storage is supported.

Q: If the camera is broken, what should I do with the subscribed Imou Protect?

A:You can transfer the subscription to other cameras or cancel the subscription on Imou App.
