Introduction

W5100 is a multi-functional single-chip network interface chip with 10/100 Ethernet controller integrated inside. It is mainly used in embedded systems with high integration, high stability, high performance and low cost. An Internet connection without an operating system is possible with the W5100. The W5100 is compatible with IEEE802.3 10BASE-T and 802.3u 100BASE-TX. The W5100 integrates a full-hardware and market-proven TCP/IP protocol stack, Ethernet media transport layer (MAC) and physical layer (PHY). The use of W5100 does not need to consider the control of Ethernet, only simple port (Socket) programming is required.
